Dr. Mason received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Barnard College at Columbia University. She then earned her Ph.D. in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University, studying the impact of cultural and religious factors on body image and eating behaviors among Orthodox Jewish adolescents.
Dr. Mason is passionate about teaching teens social/emotional life tools to help them thrive in high school and beyond. Most recently Dr. Mason completed a certification in Positive Psychology in Education and is working towards a certificate in Applied Positive Psychology. She uses these tools to support students and parents and leads monthly professional development sessions working with teachers to incorporate Positive Psychology principles in the classroom.
In addition to being the High School Counselor, Dr. Mason also teaches AP Psychology.
Dr. Mason is blessed to have a wonderful husband and four beautiful children.
