Mrs. Cooper is a native Atlantan. She received an education degree from UGA and a Master's Degree with a major in Mathematics from Georgia State University. She has taught at AJA for over 30 years.

After teaching in public high school and college, Mrs. Cooper taught Math mostly to Grades 7 and 8 at AJA.  Currently she collaborates with Lower School teachers on Math curriculum and methods and coordinates the mentor program for teachers new to AJA.
