Biography

Morah Tamar is originally from Yoqneam, Israel, which is Atlanta’s twin city in Israel. She has a bachelor’s degree in English Language Education and Hebrew Language Education from Oranim Academic College. She attended Tel Aviv University and received an MA in Multilingual Education. 

In Israel, she worked at different colleges and universities as an instructor for English as a Second Language (ESL) from 2015 to 2022. In addition, she was a level coordinator and mentored the new teachers. She taught students at different levels and received awards for excellence in teaching. She taught at Megiddo High School for three years in the language department. 

Morah Tamar is a volunteer at the Jewish Agency and has promoted projects to enhance the connection between Yoqneam Megiddo and the Atlanta St. Louis partnership. She is passionate about helping all children reach their potential and loves to encourage students to be curious and take chances when learning. She loves Israel, the Jewish life, and kids and also enjoys reading, painting, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband and four kids.
