About Susan

Prior to joining Atlanta Jewish Academy, Susan served in many capacities at Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. Most recently, Susan served as Vice President of Philanthropic Advancement. In this role, Susan managed all donors who contributed $10,000+ to the Annual Campaign and worked to integrate Endowment and targeted priority projects into the Annual Campaign solicitation. In this role, Susan supervised the Community Campaign and Endowment Department.

Before joining the Federation, Susan was the Director of Development for the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta where she created the first comprehensive annual campaign, Campaign Impact. Just prior to returning to Atlanta, Susan was Director of Development at Beth Tfiloh Dahan School (1,000 students, Preschool – 12th Grade). In her role there, Susan created the first endowment committee for sustaining the school. Prior to joining Beth Tfiloh, Susan was the Director of the Women’s Department of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. While serving as Director there, she was instrumental in creating and implementing both a Women’s Giving Circle and a Women’s Foundation to further serve the communities needs in terms of women and girls’ issues.
 
For 10 years, Susan owned and operated an advertising, marketing and public relations firm in Savannah, Georgia before
becoming a Jewish communal professional.
