Born in Iran and raised in Israel, Danny earned his bachelor’s degree in Iranian & Middle Eastern Studies at the Hebrew University and his master’s degree in Contemporary Middle Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University. He served in the Military Intelligence branch of the IDF and discharged at the rank of Staff Sargent. Danny is fluent in Hebrew, English, Farsi, and Arabic.
Danny worked as a project administrator in an educational company in Israel before moving to work for the American Hebrew Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina. At AHA Danny taught a variety of Judaic courses, ran the Jewish Studies Diploma with Distinction program, served as associate Dean of Jewish Studies, and was always a member of residential life. His last role at AHA was as a Transition Team member and Judaica manager.
Danny likes long-distance running, tennis and pays frequent visits to the gym. He spends his summertime in Israel visiting family and attending summer programs. Danny loves to travel, and on his bucket- list was also a USA cross-country road trip.
