About Tamar
My name is Tamar Baba kraus and I am happy to be part of the AJA community.
I am originally from Israel, Yoqneam- Atlanta’s twin city. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English language Education and Hebrew language Education from Oranim Academic College. Attended Tel Aviv University and received an MA in Multilingual Education.
In Israel, I worked at different colleges and universities as an instructor for English as a Second Language (ESL) from 2015-to 2022. In addition, I was a level coordinator and mentored the new teachers. I taught students at different levels and received awards for excellence in teaching. I taught at Megiddo high school for three years in the languages department.
In the past three years, I have been volunteering at the Jewish Agency and promoted projects to enhance the connection between Yoqneam Megiddo and the Atlanta St. Louis partnership. I am passionate about helping all children reach their potential and I love to encourage students to be curious and take chances when learning.
I love Israel, the Jewish life, and kids. I enjoy reading, painting, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with my husband and our four kids.
