College Counseling
The college process is based upon individualism and self-reflection as students prepare for the next phase of their academic experience. We ensure that students are properly prepared for the transition into colleges that complement their talents, interests, religious goals and aspirations. Our college counseling program is designed to guide students in finding the college that best matches their individual strengths and interests and where they will find both happiness and success.
This process begins in 8th grade at AJA, as students meet with their college counselor, Dana Zullo, for academic planning. Yearly individual and group meetings continue throughout high school, including the annual College Night & Financial Aid Workshop and the College Essay & Application workshop. In junior year, each student and family has a comprehensive college counseling meeting with Mrs. Zullo to discuss college lists, standardized testing plans, and the process of applying. Juniors and seniors at AJA are invited to attend on-site college meetings with admissions representatives, often those who will read your applications.
Mrs. Zullo is here to help every step of the way with the application process, including college list creation, essay and resume review and interview advice.
