Atlanta Jewish Academy is a Modern Orthodox school that nurtures each student's academic growth, Torah learning, and character development, while inspiring commitment to Judaism, engagement in community, and connection with Israel.

AJA Value Statements

Nurturing & Inspiring: Our school cultivates an educational environment suited to each student's talents, needs, and interests. Our growth-minded curricula, paired with techniques such as differentiated learning and academic support, nurture each child's potential and foster their development as both students and people. AJA's staff and teachers educate and inspire, motivating students to learn and grow more with each day.

Academic Excellence: AJA offers a rigorous, co-educational secular and Judaic education through its dual curriculum and immersive Hebrew program. We motivate students to extend and then push boundaries, and to continuously strive to achieve their full academic potential, creating lifelong learners primed for success in yeshiva/seminary, higher education, and beyond. AJA invests in teacher excellence through year-round professional development, and brings innovative teaching practices to the classrooms. 

Middot: Character development is a foundational element of our school. Teachers' daily interactions with students -- from beit midrash to ballfield -- seek to make them better people, better Jews, and better citizens. AJA provides the framework for personal growth, and encourages our students to actualize their learning beyond the classroom and use it to benefit the community at large. 

Community: AJA is a Modern Orthodox school that welcomes Jews of all backgrounds. We cherish our role as both a pillar institution and engaged member of the Atlanta Jewish community. We embrace the concept of Ahavat Yisrael by welcoming and appreciating the diversity of the Jewish People both inside and outside the walls of our school.

Israel: AJA fosters a deep connection between each student and the land, people, and State of Israel. We are proud Zionists who believe there is religious significance to Medinat Yisrael, and suffuse our school with love for the history, language, and culture of Israel. Our faculty and school community are enriched by the Israeli staff who teach our children and create a special bond with our brothers and sisters in Israel.
