Welcome to Atlanta Jewish Academy, Atlanta’s Premier Jewish Day School guided by modern orthodox values and principles.
As you enter our beautifully wooded 15 acre campus, you will immediately see two flags flying high above our building. These flags - the American Flag and the מָגֵן דָּוִד (Magen David) represent the diversity of our school and the important balance between General Studies and Judaic Studies.
That concept is an important piece of what makes our school so special - we offer top-notch academics in an intellectually rigorous and also spiritually uplifting environment. Our students can recite Shakespeare and they can read Torah. Our students can create award-winning projects for a science fair and can draft stories and present in Hebrew. Our students can solve high-level math problems and can debate the most advanced Talmudic topics. Our students can spike a volleyball over the net and can dance and sing on Shabbat with great ruach (spirit).
We nurture well-rounded academically exceptional students who are the future leaders of our Jewish Community. The student’s Jewish Journey begins in our Early Childhood, where Jewish traditions, values, and celebrations are seamlessly infused into the curriculum.
Our connection to Israel is unparalleled. Every year, our faculty is comprised of Shlichim (Israeli Emissaries), B’not Sherut (Female youth in service), and Shinshinim (young Israeli Educators). AJA students learn about life and the culture of Eretz Yisrael and an unbreakable bond is created as they learn directly from people who live that culture and experience. Many of our students visit Shlichim from prior years when they travel to Israel, or when they are spending a gap year in Israel attending a wide variety of Yeshivot, Seminaries and programs, as the connection is so deep.
At AJA, we offer a quality education for our students in an inclusive nurturing community environment. Our Jewish pride and knowlege is exceptional - and we integrate that into all we practice and teach here. It truly is a special place and that is evident as you walk through our halls. We are more than a school. We are a community!
We look forward to seeing you on our campus so that you can see firsthand how special Atlanta Jewish Academy is.
L’shalom,
Franeen Sarif
