Learning Pathways

At AJA, we believe the very essence of education is to provide learning opportunities for our children that are empowering and enable students access to the tools necessary to achieve their full potential.  Our pathways program provides us the ability to accomplish this through additional layers of support, small group work, and/or enrichment opportunities in both our general and Judaic studies. Students can take part in one pathway, or multiple. Determination is based on student individual needs.

The Arts at AJA

Lower and Middle School Art

This program at AJA nurtures creativity while guiding students in activities in drawing, painting, art history, sculpture, printmaking and crafts.

Upper School Art

AJA gives students the opportunity to develop an interest in art appreciation and to develop critical and creative thinking skills. The program is designed to help students develop awareness of, and appreciation for, the skills in communicating through art, and a feeling of pride and satisfaction in their work.

Athletics

Atlanta Jewish Academy emphasizes the value of each individual and respect for others. Participating in AJA’s Athletic Program represents an important part of school life.
 
It is the philosophy of AJA to attempt to balance playing time for each child as much as possible while fostering a healthy sense of competition and sportsmanship. In the Middle School, AJA Jaguars compete against schools of similar size and skill through the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference (MAAC). The High School is a member of Georgia High School Association (GHSA).

College Counseling

The college process is based upon individualism and self-reflection as students prepare for the next phase of their academic experience. We ensure that students are properly prepared for the transition into colleges that complement their talents, interests, religious goals and aspirations. Our college counseling program is designed to guide students in finding the college that best matches their individual strengths and interests and where they will find both happiness and success.
